What is Excel Power Query. Power Query is an Excel add-in that you can use for ETL. That means, you can extract data from different sources, transform it, and then load it to the worksheet. You can say POWER QUERY is a data cleansing machine as it has all the options to transform the data. It is real-time and records all the steps that you perform. Fortunately, if you are running Excel 2016, Excel 2019, or Excel through an Office 365 subscription, you do not need to download the add-in. Beginning with Excel 2016, Power Query is “fully baked” into all versions of Excel, making it easier to access and use. Click on the “About Excel” button. In the screen that pops up, at the top you will either see 32-bit or 64-bit. Take note and download the correct Power Query add-in version accordingly. Power query comes pre-installed in Excel 2016 but has been renamed to “Get & Transform” and is under the Data tab in the ribbon.

I am using Power Query to automatically download historical stock price data from Yahoo! Finance into Excel. The URL is Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 (QQQ) Stock Historical Prices & Data - Yahoo Finance
It populates a worksheet with a year's worth of stock prices with the following columns: Date/Open/High/Low/Close/Adj Close/Volume.
When I try to build a simple line chart using the data, the price column data is not recognized. So the Y-axis of the chart returns no values. I changed the format of the columns to 'Number' but it doesn't make any difference.
Does anyone have any solutions or workarounds. I attached a copy of the spreadsheet.
