Vcds Interface Not Found
Port status ok Interface not found! This is not a problem You will only get Interface found connected to the car with the ignition switched on so the dash warning lights are active. Edited to add: You can only save the settings once you have tested the interface connected to the car with the ignition on. You need to go to wire manufacturer and get the Win 7 drivers for his wire. XP and Vista drivers will not work with Win 7. You said it has a blue light on it. That is not a Ross-Tech HEX or KEY style dongle interface. I don't know what you have but it is not a genuine Ross-Tech dongle interface.

Vcds Port Status Ok Interface Not Found
I'm trying to use my VCDS with my 2008 Audi A6 3.2 quattro. I just updated from v17.3 to v18.2. Never used my VCDS on my A6 -- I had used it on my S8 with great success last year.
I'm getting the error message port status ok, interface not found. The A6 key isn't working (only MMI starts, the dash stays off, likely a problem with the ignition module error code), so I used the bypass method highbeam/hazards/brake, but no luck.
I'm thinking maybe a driver issue, but unsure. It tried automatically downloading something, but it froze in the middle of the install.
I've hit a wall, and I need to clear my codes so I can use my A6 again. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
